Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Oct 06, 2020 7:16 pm My driveway was recently completed, and is two distinct colours. Sealant has been put forward as a solution, but the difference can still be seen. I was wondering whether anyone here had a colour sealant done on exposed, and how that turned out? I don't want to go too dark, but the house is black and grey, so a bit darker would blend. Does anyone know whether the tint would affect the exposed in different ways - the lighter side is less dense in terms of stones. That looks like a cold join where they have had to stop the pour while waiting for another truck to come. That second truck looks like it has had some colour variation and because it wasn't a continuous pour it stands out like the proverbial. It even looks like a different level of exposure which would indicate that it was placed some time after the first lot and the retarder has been more aggressive on that final bit closer to the road. It is always hard to tell from a photo rather than in person but it certainly doesn't look good. I can't see how any sealer is going to fix it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Very hard to determine through photos though. 3 19482 |
