We're about to have the slab laid for a lowset kit home and are considering what to do with the living room floor.
We're trying to stay away from vinyl and tiles so are considering just sealing the concrete. Friends have done this but they can't remember what the product was. Just that it was acrylic based and went on with two coats after a light acid wash.
This is their floor. It has been down for 6 years and has proven durable. They did learn though not to leave a wet rag on the floor overnight as it stains. I assume this is due to being acrylic based. This would make it tricky as the house would have to be up and roofed soon after in case it rained.

Has anyone done similar and can offer any advice on what product would be suitable? I do have some concerns over how slippery the floor would be.
