We love the design and don't want this to change (ie, we don't want to complete redo the stenciling)... but is there a way to "repaint" it without having to get on hands and knees and paint each cell individually? Could try brushing 2.3mm of sand into the 'joints' painting with a roller and then washing the sand out. might need a pressure washer as top of sand would be stuck together.
