Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jan 01, 2014 1:01 pm Hi Everyone, I am in the process of finalizing my contract with a builder and was hoping to get some pointers / tips. I have most of it sorted however i am stuck at whether i should go with slate look pavers or slate look concreting option (for the back yard and side yards only, as planning to have exposed aggregate concreting for the driveway and porch). Building a period style (Victorian cottage) and hence need your help / guidance on a) which option (pavers / concreting) would more suit the style? b) Is paving cheaper than concreting? Say 100 square meters (Back & side yard combined). c) Pros and Cons and d) Any other recommendations. Thanks VJ I would probably render it and then paint it as per your other advice, or gyrpock over the top. 1 4363 To put anything over slate you will need to put self level compound over the entire area as slate various in thickness and is very un even.
