Hello . If anyone can help.
I’m doing a shower Reno.
I have pulled up the old tiles , am ready to start waterproofing.
However I am stuck on the drain , it is an old metal pipe.
It has a top lip , that I am hoping to cut flush with concrete.
And then simply putting a puddle flange inside.
I’m just wondering, can I do that ?
It will be basically free standing in the hole.
Do I need to somehow join the two?
Once waterproofed and tiled it will be firm.
If anyone knows anything about such a problem let me know.
I will try to send photos.
