Thinking aloud here about clotheslines options and perhaps get some input from members here.
I was originally set on a rotary fixed clothesline in the same spot as our old solid rotary clothesline before our KDR. I considered getting folding rotary, but they look plasticky. I like the solid ones (Austral galvanised ones) because I feel like I can put heavier sheets and linen there to dry out in the sun. Then on the back of my mind, we have a side path which is not going to be used much and potentially put a folding down one or two there instead to maximise lawn space. I am concerned that side of the house (eastern) doesn't get much sun and clothes won't dry as quickly.
My options:
1. Rotary fixed galvanised hoist
Pro: Sturdy, get sun
Con: Use lots of space
2. Rotary foldable
Pro: Save space, get sun
Con: Flimsy
3. Fold down at side of house
Pro: Use a side path that otherwise serves no purpose
Con: Not enough sun, not as solid
Any wisdom or experience would be appreciated.
