Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 28, 2019 7:57 pm Hi, I’ve started to pull some floor tiles up in small toilet only to find they were tile over tile from previous owners. So now in process of taking it back to original base. See photos attached. i’d like to now tile from base up but the overflow drain and toilet sewage will be at higher level. Wasn’t expecting level to be that much lower. is it straight forward job to get this overflow drain off and cut back pipe? Don’t want to damage it so have left going any further for moment. May get plumber in if not straight forward task. dont’t want to level back to the original depth if possible as then I can get ride of transition step (down) into next room thanks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Floor tiles - height of overflow drain 2Oct 29, 2019 9:20 am Jimmy2times Hi, I’ve started to pull some floor tiles up in small toilet only to find they were tile over tile from previous owners. If you lower the floor level, won’t that leave the toilet sitting too high?
