Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Sep 17, 2008 11:52 am This is just a quick note to say thanks to Craig at Perfect Grout for a GREAT job on my grout!! (and thanks to your grout guys who actually came out and did it)
It was done yesterday and this morning I ducked in to meet the carpet people and saw it, and WOW! It looks SO good. I am very impressed and very pleased. I’ve direct transferred your payment online this morning so you should have that soon. I got James’ note on my invoice saying he broke a magnet that was on my fridge and did I want him to replace it, so can you tell him no, that’s fine, it can be glued and it was only cheap anyway. Thanks once again for all your help and a fantastic job! Anyone who wants their grout renewed, this is fantastic!! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 3Sep 17, 2008 1:14 pm Oh yeah, it was excellent!! It just lifts the whole tiled area and makes it look like new!! And 10 year guarantee. That’s fantastic! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 4Sep 17, 2008 2:57 pm Good on you Grace for being happy to recommend and share great service! Nice to hear positive stories.
Also good luck for the big move! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 5Sep 17, 2008 3:21 pm Thank you!
I'm all restless, thinking of things to do... Tonight is the last normal night in our home of 5 years...tomorrow night we'll be watching TV and sleeping amongst billions of boxes. How weird that will feel. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 6Sep 17, 2008 10:16 pm Grace, you seem very happy I agree, it is nice to read about great service for a change on this forum!
Could you tell us a bit more about why you did this, which colour change did you want, any indication of cost? I'm very interested, thanks in advance. Els Els ~ A day without wine is like a day without sunshine ~ Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 7Sep 18, 2008 12:16 pm Sure thing…
Well, why I did it was because the grout between the tiles in all the tiled areas was all grey and it just looked tired and blegh. Very drab. Dark grey, you know? The grout itself was in good condition but it had just become discoloured over the 12 years since the building was constructed, by mould and whatever else, just dirt and stuff. The tiles themselves are a pale pinkish hue. So I found info about grout re-colouring and cleaning, etc online and looked into it, was very impressed and envious of the before and after photos, so got a quote, it was good, and went ahead with it! The grout, that before was grey and yuck and brought down the whole general appearance of the tiled areas, is now fresh and a lovely cool/dull/off white (which I wanted. You can choose your colour), which just makes the whole area “lift”. It cost me $400 for 2 bathrooms (one very small, an ensuite) and kitchen. They had to remove the fridge and dishwasher, which they put back (although I have to contact Craig as I realised today they haven’t reconnected the dishwasher pipe and I have NO idea how to do this!!!), to do the kitchen, and they also re-sealed around the ensuite shower and replaced a bit of seal below the dishwasher. Also, I was lucky in that our new carpet wasn’t in yet and so it didn’t matter if they got water or whatever on it… How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 8Sep 18, 2008 12:39 pm Hi Grace
Thanks for the nice comments the best thing now is your grout is sealed so nothing will stain it I new you would be happy with it as all our customers are if you can not re fit the dishwasher let me know and I will organise someone to do it for you. craig Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 9Sep 18, 2008 1:48 pm Thanks for that, Craig!
I have NO idea how to refit it. I am not technical or even very domesticated and can't even see where the tube pipe thing would be inserted. It'd be so excellent if someone could quickly pop down to refit it for me? How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 10Sep 18, 2008 3:21 pm Sounds great - I will definatly be getting you guys out when we put our house on the market - we have 2 showers that desperatly need grout cleaning!
Also I think its a good idea to get you in to seal the new grout in the new house when it is built Great Price My karma ran over your dogma Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 11Sep 18, 2008 3:36 pm Thanks for that I have three appplicators offering this service now in Melbourne just email me if you would like there contact details.
Craig Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 12Sep 18, 2008 5:40 pm Hi again Craig
Thanks for calling earlier. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I didn't get a chance to have a good look at the hose pipe tube thing to decide if I could do it or not. (one thing though is I don't have a screwdriver handy. It's packed in one of the 50 billion boxes that are occupying our flat right now!) Tomorrow I'll have a look and let you know if I need help. Thanks again! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 14Sep 20, 2008 9:43 am Hi Sharee
We do many new installs this is a must before the floor gets used our sealer water proofs your grout and resists stains for up to 15 years. The price is $25 per sq metre this includes cleaning and sealing. Craig Re: THANK YOU PERFECT GROUT! (CRAIG) 15Sep 20, 2008 8:47 pm Thanks Grace for replying to my questions! I am so jealous... we built our house only 2 years ago and I wanted the off white grout, and got it, but i don't think they sealed it. I didn't know much about anything related to building at the time, I only discovered this forum AFTER we had built!
Anyhow, our grout looks gross now, it is a pity because I love the tiles we picked and the off white grout would make it look fantastic, it is now grey/stained grout in patches everywhere (depending on traffic).
