Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 20, 2019 10:02 am Hiya. My son has just finished renovating my bathroom. He completely ripped out everything and started from scratch, including the walls and ceiling. Everything has been done correctly and the plumbing and electrics were done by tradies. Our problem is that the steam wont leave the bathroom even though we have 2 exhaust fans in there. 1 is the heat lamp with fan and the other is just a fan. We have 2 shower heads, but of course only use one at a time. 1 is a 30cm x 30cm rain head. The other is a hand held. Even when just the hand held is turned on, it takes less than 2 minutes to completely fill the bathroom with steam and the walls and mirror are dripping. Thats with both fans running. We have even tried turning the shower on with the bathroom door open to differing degrees, from just a crack to fully open, and the steam still builds up. It just seems to float straight past both fans. (Yes we have checked to see if they are sucking air) The bathroom is about 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.4. Walls are fully tiled. Floor is tiled. Gap under bathroom door. No shower door. Sealed window. (Were told that this was best to reduce mould as would make for better vacuum for fans) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Redballs. The other factor is fan position. Where is the main fan positioned? You can hire a smoke machine to visual the fans draw, that might show something. 3in1 Supadiverta.
