There is also a slight gap between the walling and ceiling, as ants have come through there before. My question is, how would I go about repairing this? This is right above the shower, so it does see quite a bit of moisture. Thanks in advance! Re: Repairing wall & ceiling join. 3May 06, 2019 4:17 pm I agree, it’s probably a metal angle. We have tiles that go to the ceiling too, but no hint that’s what our builder used at the join. You could get a competent plaster to refinish it, but it might happen again over time. Alternatively, install another layer of blue-board right to the edges or even install a cornice. Re: Repairing wall & ceiling join. 4May 07, 2019 10:58 pm Thanks for replying guys. I just had a close up look, and it's definitely not metal. Looks to be paper tape and possibly just painted over. Would using adhesive to stick it back down and paint over it be sufficient do you think? Re: Repairing wall & ceiling join. 5May 08, 2019 11:46 am ![]() Thanks for replying guys. I would get a plasterer in. Re: Repairing wall & ceiling join. 6Dec 12, 2019 7:23 pm DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi, The time has come to remove this old air conditioner.
