Sometimes our sink or bathtub drain will slow. I have used liquid drain cleaners which seems to work on our plastic piping. However, I heard a plumber say that drain cleaners are dangerous and damages the plumbing https://mechanicguides.com/best-tool-bag-for-plumbers/ .
Does anyone know the answer? My investing mistakes have made me skeptical about other things.
Thank you and best wishes.

I don't know if drain cleaner damages the pipes, but it certainly damages the environment.
Your first step is to clean any accessible S-traps. If the slow draining looks like it results from factors further down the pipeline, get a plumber in to clear the lines. In two houses we have had root ingress, and once cleared everything was fine again.
