We are renovating an older home and have our washing machine/dryer in a very small bathroom. The BCA states we have to have BOTH a laundry tub AND a sink for washing our hands! We really don't have the room! The washing machine waste is directly plumbed out so I'm at a loss as to why this should be. Has anyone else come across this problem and found a solution? We are on the south coast of NSW.

It seems like your bathroom is pretty small. BCA states that you should have both sink and laundry tub, It would make difficult to organise space. If your washing machine is plumbed out directly and you no longer need that laundry tub that perfectly make sense. What if you make your laundry tub small if there is not any requirement of size. or just work it out with some other way. Also you can also look on pinterest and houzz for better bathroom design which is suitable to your requirement and space. I hope it might help you.
