Is it plasterboard/Gyprock/drywall or blue board/Villaboard/fibre cement sheeting? Plasterboard will be the most difficult. Your best chance is to carefully cut the tiles into strips with a diamond blade on an angle grinder and then gently chiselling behind each piece.
