We have just purchased our first home. It is a 1998 dated home, that has not been touched since 1998!
Whilst the house is aged, most of it is in good condition...just outdated with its colouring.
In order to keep costs down, we are considering "painting" our tiles in the bathroom. The floor is perfect, just ORANGE! and the walls are also perfect, just plain WHITE.
We are thinking of seeing if there is any way they can be painted? I feel like its a huge job and waste of money to replace tiles that are realistically good, just god awful colours!
Does anyone have any experience in doing this, and if it does have good quality, long lasting results? Or has someone done it, only to find it doesn't last and should of just replaced in the first place.

We did this with my husbands fathers house after he died in order to sell it. We used White Knight Tile Paint. It's a great low cost option

I wouldn't bother using the white knight tile paint. It is actually very expensive.
Use an oil based undercoat (dulux) two coats, and the color of your choice over the top. I would be hesitant to do this on the floor, but walls no trouble at all.

I painted a feature tile strip on the walls of my bathroom, and the floor.
After 5 years there are a few chips in the floor from dropping things but it's still looking pretty good.
The only thing to be careful of is cleaning, you can't scrub it hard or use abrasive cleaners.
