after reading our buiders mktg manager in the local press talking about clients specifying screenless showers in their building plans, we specified this in our variations and designed the bathroom around our screenless double shower. To achieve this, we upgraded ($800) to a "reflux" valve. In a nutshell, builder has built the shower (about 3 times now due to tap centering etc) with no regard to the drainage and it simply is not going to work. The remedy will require taking tiles out, building a hob and installing a very expensive shower screen (double). Bear in mind that the fixings will not be easy also.
