Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 21, 2017 4:39 pm Hi all, I am building with a volume builder in Victoria. At the final stages of the build now. They have done waterproofing and subsequent tiling of the bathrooms and toilet rooms. Recently, they installed the actual toilet, and when I went in to have a look, I noted that they had to remove the tile + scrap off the plaster & water proofing at the area in order to fit the toilet against the wall. Now I assume they can probably patch up and place the waterproofing/plaster + tile at the side of the toilet seats where they have scrapped away. My concern is more the surface of the wall right up against the toilet bowl....that part is now exposed and unprotected. The tile, plaster and waterproofing is gone there. There is a very small gap between that wall and the actual toilet bowl where it's pressed against the wall, and I can't see how they can fix that. Just wondering if anyone has experience in this? Builder said "all will be fixed", but concerned if he is just looking to do a short cut patch ups at the side of the toilet bowls, but my concern is the wall surface right up against the toilet bowl is unprotected. Or does the whole toilet need to be reinstalled?
