Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 21, 2017 4:31 pm I like high ceilings and don't think you can go too high for living areas, but how high is too high in a bathroom? The front part of the house has a lower floor level (3.4m ceilings) than the rest of the house (3m downstairs and 2.7 upstairs). I'm wondering should I reduce the ceiling height to 3m in the bathroom or keep it at 3.4m? It's only a small bathroom at 1800x3300mm so it's not going to be particularly grand. Reasons for reducing the height include cheaper tiling (tile to the ceiling) and more effective heating (warm air rises). There isn't any floor heating or heat lamp, just heating from the adjacent bedroom. Just on heating, should I consider putting an extra (reverse cycle) vent for heating and cooling in the bathroom or other forms of heating. Maybe that's another question for another day/forum.
