We have a skinny ensuite where our double vanity at 1600mm (small) has 2 undermount sinks which will leave very little bench space.
Our builder has designed tiles on each wall beside the vanity which is practical for splashing I guess. My question is from a looks perspective it wrecks the look we are after (straight lines) -
Do we need to do this or would plain wall beside the vanity be fine (its for adults only).?
1600mm double vanity between 2 walls - need advice..2

Personally, with the edge of the basins so close to the walls, I would put the tiles there; but if you are happy to clean the walls frequently and risk staining (which can be easily fixed by repainting) then do what you want.
