Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 22, 2017 12:09 pm I had my preselection wall through for tiles yesterday. The included range only has 2 types of tiles i like with one being the main contender. I am thinking of just doing the bathroom, ensuite, powder room and laundry all exactly the same since i dont like any of the others. Did anyone else do this? I dont want to spend money on upgrade in bathrooms and i think with my tile choice it will look good in all the rooms but am unsure? I have attatched tiles i am thinking of getting they are matching floor and wall and i dont want any feature tiles.. i also have polyurethane cabinets included in my package so will be getting a profile door similar to the one below Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Did anyone do the exact same tiles and cabinets in all b 2Mar 22, 2017 12:22 pm They look great! Initially I had a dark grey ensuite, even though I preferred the light grey in the bathroom. And I thought, why am I doing something I don't like *just* to make it different? my build - http://61ca.wordpress.com Re: Did anyone do the exact same tiles and cabinets in all b 10Mar 23, 2017 11:11 am I'm using the same tile but in different colours in the ensuite and bathroom, with the same feature tile that compliments both tiles. The grey is slightly darker in tone but the ensuite is larger than the bathroom so that should work out. It will give a cohesive but individual look to each room. The ensuite is a pale grey and the bathroom will be a pale beige/taupe. I'll use the bathroom tiles also in the laundry as they are next to each other. Basins will be the same, vanities the same (rural oak timber), I'm not sure yet about the bench tops. Re: Did anyone do the exact same tiles and cabinets in all b 11Mar 23, 2017 11:20 am Same tiles and cabinets in both of my bathrooms. I'm not a fan of different bathrooms. Re: Did anyone do the exact same tiles and cabinets in all b 12Mar 24, 2017 11:51 pm I have 3 bathrooms in my build. The main bathroom and powder room have the same tiles and cabinetry. For the ensuite, because we wanted it to be different, we chose a different tile and therefore cabinet colour. At the end of the day it comes down to personal taste and preference. If it suits you, go for it! I didn't like it. I think they all need to at least tie together. If the ensuite, bathroom, and laundry are the same I think that looks classy and well thought out. Maybe just vary the laundry slightly- it will match amazingly but be slightly different and look very well planned and sophisticated. Re: Did anyone do the exact same tiles and cabinets in all b 14Mar 26, 2017 6:15 pm We kind of went with the same in both. However in the en-suite, which is quite large we use the floor tile (albeit a larger polished version) as a feature on the back wall, and in the main bathroom the floor tile runs up over the bath hub. Even though same tiles, makes each look different. You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11584 |
