The main bathroom and powder room have the same tiles and cabinetry. For the ensuite, because we wanted it to be different, we chose a different tile and therefore cabinet colour. At the end of the day it comes down to personal taste and preference. If it suits you, go for it! I didn't like it. I think they all need to at least tie together. If the ensuite, bathroom, and laundry are the same I think that looks classy and well thought out. Maybe just vary the laundry slightly- it will match amazingly but be slightly different and look very well planned and sophisticated. However in the en-suite, which is quite large we use the floor tile (albeit a larger polished version) as a feature on the back wall, and in the main bathroom the floor tile runs up over the bath hub. Even though same tiles, makes each look different. You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want.
