Hi there,
I have removed old tiles from a shower (walls + floor).
Most tiles were easily removed but one side was much more painful. It had a lot more glue as you can see in one picture below. I did my best to remove as much glue as possible but there's still some left.
The plan is now to fill the gaps, waterproof all walls/floor and then put some new tiles.
My questions are:
1/ What is the best option to fill those holes? (Is this "Polyfilla Interior Large Cracks" ok?)
2/ Before waterproofing all walls, should the glue be completely removed? If so, what's the best way to do this?
3/ For the floor, can the waterproofing be done over those tiles or should a new layer be added on top? In case of a new layer, what would be the best option?
(Note: tiles had been put on top of tiles - The tiles on the picture below are the ones from the 2nd layer).
I'm not planning on doing the waterproofing myself but I'd like to do as much as possible myself before getting a pro to do the waterproofing and tiling.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers!
