Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 13, 2008 7:31 pm We have one of those gasly 60/70s glass shower screens (sliding door) which wraps around 3 sides of bath. I want to remove this and put in a shower curtain. The problem(s):
there is a window at one end of bath and no wall at other end (ie 1m gap between bath and wall) ceiling consists of tiles (moisture absorbing) and not very solid so may not support shower rail. does a rail exist for such a set up. I know it is not the usual set up but it cant be the only one in Sydney either given the number of 70s bathrooms. Re: Anyone remove 60s shower screen? 2Aug 13, 2008 8:05 pm So you have a shower over the bath??
Are you really sure you want a shower curtain??? Cold and wet clinging to you as you get out of the shower...well that's our experience. I'm not sure of your exact set up (a picture or sketch may help explain it a bit better) but you can get shower curtain rails that have a 90 degree bend in them, but I'm not sure of the dimensions, ours is 900 x 900mm. Our walls are solid brick and even then the curtain rail has 'drooped' over the years and looks very uneven Or you could try something like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not sure of the cost or if it will actually be suitable for your situation, but I would prefer that to a shower curtain any day. You could replace it with laminated safety glass but make sure it has AS standards logo on it 1 11161 How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents?
