Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Dec 28, 2016 10:19 am Hi All, Parents have a small and old bathroom. I have the following options 1. Pay someone to do whole thing. 2. Buy stuff at Bunnings and install it myself. minimal pluming or electric work. 3. Do the ties myself and get cabinet maker for the rest. Considering some of the above. I have listed the following steps. I really need to help to see if I am right. Remove current bathroom. Get water proof products and advice from Bunnings and do it myself. Paint the walls myself lay the ties myself get electrician to install new lights get cabinet maker to install the cabinets and vanity Install small things like shelves and tower rack on the other hand, I want it to look like the small bathrooms on pinterest, should i bite the bullet and pay for it? Re: first time reno vathroom for parents. 3Jan 01, 2017 7:12 pm My advice would be to project manage it yourself and engage licenced contractors for the professional work. Try your hand at the demolition but leave it to about that. You will save yourself a few dollars if you can engage a few contractors yourself rather than paying a builder to co-ordinate it for you. You can try a service like www.*.com.au to find some of the trades you may need. All the best with it and good luck! Kind Regards James Mason www.renovationjunkies.com.au Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not?
