Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 31, 2016 11:49 am Hi I need some help. Undertaking a bathroom reno and was not happy with the plumber installing the valve outside the cistern as in the photo. He said it could not be done internally as it was not the correct part. The bathroom place and the distributor told me the parts supplied are correct so I dont know who to believe. Additionally, the bathroom place provided a different type of valve to try however the distributor mentioned these are not permittted for use in Aus, they are european. I have no idea and need help, as it seems my plumber is confused as well. Re: Grohe Inwall Cistern Install Help 2Oct 31, 2016 7:08 pm It does look like it would be hard with the valve that has been used but surely there would be a suitable valve that you could find that would work. If he put that valve in the top of the cistern and then connected the elbow part to the valve so it would loop around better it should work. If he refuses to change it, ask to least to put an isolation valve on the pipe in the ceiling space so you can get to it. Otherwise to service the cistern the whole water supply has to be turned off. That's a fantastic result! Happy you got it sorted out. cheers Simeon 6 8622 Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7889 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12376 |
