I have been given a quote by a tiler who does bathroom renovations, a Company who is associated with Joinery Company [2 Infringement Notices] and and a Licensed Building company who specialises in bathrooms. Its a big job - how important is it to use a Licenced Builder for the work, I am thinking the Licenced Builder who has been in the business for many years and doesn't have any infringements on his licence. Some tilers and plumbers advertise for this work but a lot do not hold the relevant licence. However as mentioned above they should have a bathroom licence as a minimum. In NSW they would also need to hold a waterproofing licence as well. If your work has any structural component then building permit is required.
