I bought a house in Brisbane with a covered up leaking shower problem. The previous owners tiled on tiled to mask the problem. We have stripped the shower down and found damage to membrane/hob. The adjacent walls of the shower are also damaged so it will need removing, new sheeting and stubs, new tiles. I have a quote for $7,500. Does this estimate sound fair? I am living abroad at the moment and I have no means of cost comparison. Re: Cost of repairing leaking shower 2Aug 02, 2008 10:00 pm WOW! That seems a high quote.
Get some more. Are you insured….if so get the whole bathroom re done…..I wish I had of thought of that when my shower leaked! It can all be done on insurance, but your quote does sound high.
