Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 22, 2016 4:01 pm I'm renovating my ensuite which is on the first floor and has FC sheeting on a timber frame floor. I've gutted it back to the shell and want to put under tile heating in. Obviously I need to waterproof yet and also need insulation boards prior to tiling. My issue is that I only have about a max floor construction thickness (above FC sheeting) of 45mm at the door, as I don't want too much of a step up from the bedroom. The floor waste is 1m away so the floor construction will be 35mm here. Assuming: Tile and adhesive - 10mm Heating mat - 4mm Insulation board and adhesive - 8mm Waterproofing - 2mm I will only have 11mm at the waste for my screed, and 21 at the door. Does anyone know of any screed or product I can use to to create the fall at these thicknesses (or more appropriately, thinesses) Would be really good if anyone has any experience with under tile heating as well as I'm struggling to decide on a product. I know I'm going for an electric 200W/m2 system, but want to make sure I get maximum heat output in an attempt to heat the room, not just the floor, and the price range out there suggests there'll be some difference in quality. Cheers Before you rip it up, if you can in the grout lines, drill some holes and pour/inject techgrip by sika.
