Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Mar 09, 2016 2:30 pm I'm thinking of getting a bathroom reno and am trying to figure out my options. Currently our vanity is against an external wall but we think a better configuration would be to have the vanity against an internal wall. Someone came over and gave us a quote based on piping to the vanity inside the brick wall, involving having to put in some new tiles. An alternative is to go through the floor, but we are keen on getting a hanging vanity. My question is - can we plumb through the brick wall into the kitchen (behind the kitchen cupboards), and then out/link with kitchen plumbing? This would seem a good solution, which doesn't involve replacing tiles, but maybe there are reasons why this cant be done. Any advice or direction to a good site much appreciated - thanks Tony Re: Is plumbing through an internal brick an option? 3Mar 09, 2016 8:42 pm You can but the only thing maximum distance you can run 40 an 50 mm pipe is 2.4m trapped and 1.2m untrapped so if the distances are more then you need to upgrade pipe to minimum 65mm pipe Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7935 Hi, I'd like some advice on the best option please on the estimate options we've been provided from our builder.
