Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 24, 2016 2:06 pm Hey all Long story short. Building a single story with Eden Brae, back in Jan i did a walk thru with a cover ss as my ss was on leave. At the time the frames/brick/roof/windows were completed. Noticed in the ensuite the floor waste was in the incorrect position & there was no drain for the grated drain at the entrance of the ensuite. The main bathroom was the same issue incorrect position & missing grated drain entrance. The temp ss noted these down to follow up. On monday 22/2 i done another walk thru with my ss. The grated drain in both rooms had been created but the original floor waste were still there and not moved to where they should be on the plan. When i asked the ss he didnt give me a solid answer, just said maybe the regulations prevented it from happening. I asked what regulation which he couldnt answer and then blamed the sales assistance for not knowing the regulations when plans were getting drawn up. This sounds like BS to me, he just trying to cover his mistakes and hasnt followed up or looked at our plans. All the plans have been approved by all the relevant bodies, so if it was an issue it should of been picked up earlier. I have today contacted an independent build inspector (the ad banner in this forum) to get a idea if they can help. I have also checked the as-3740-2010-australia-standard - waterproofing of domestic wet areas, which i dont see anything bout floor waste placement. Can anyone help out or provide some suggestions on what i can do.
