Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jan 21, 2016 10:14 am Hi We originally wanted 600 tiles in main bath and ensuite but it wasn't going to be great for the fall. Reluctantly we've changed the floor tiles to 300. The floor tiles are belle white (a very light neutral sort of tan/cream) matte. They continue in a semi gloss up behind the bath and on the bath plinth. Rest of the wall tiles are a white gloss. In the ensuite they continue up the main wall of the shower (back wall of room). We changed the tiles on the bath plinth and back wall to 300 so they match the floor. The other wall tiles are 600 white gloss. We weren't sure whether to keep them as 600s but being different brands thought it would be tricky to get them to all line up especially with the bath there. Now in the ensuite we need to decide where the floor tile floor continues up the wall whether to do those in 300s as well or in a 600. The other walls are white gloss 600s. Thoughts? This makes it very hard to work falls because you have to atone plane twists and you have to work to fine tolerances. Its taking me ages but I want to do it myself. Everything falls towards them in the same plane. No lipping at all and you can choose the tile you want - 400 x 400, 600 x 600mm or larger. Stewie We had ordered a stainless steel channel grate but the builder said with the size of the room it was still going to be difficult to get the plane right to get it into the grate nicely, recommended changing to a Bermuda tile and 300s for our bathroom once we saw it all laid out. Pulling our leg? Not a very big room is the thing. Anyway, would you keep the one wall which is the same colour as the wall in 300s? And the white gloss tile 600s? Or keep all wall tiles 600? It's the shower wall at the end of the room ie the first thing you See when you walk in and I thought the idea of it continuing up the wall might be broken wth two sizes? But not sure how the varying wall sizes will look? Yeah it can be tricky I guess. 600 x 300 sounds nice. So now we've changed to 300 on floor in ensuite and bathroom. In each we have one wall where the tiles are the same colour as the floor. Sort of our "feature". So we don't know if to leave those as 600s or make them 300s so it aligns with the floor best. The other wall tiles are white gloss 600s. What would you do? In the main bath we've already changed that wall to 300s as they come up off the floor and then over the bath plinth etc and we were worried it wouldn't quite align or look funny. Now I'm not sure if we've made the right choice, we need to decide what to do in the ensuite where that wall is the shower wall (it's a frameless shower screen and the shower is at the end of the room). I managed to get three way fall before last four tiles that have to be cut to finish it off. We decided where the floor tiles continue up the wall as a "feature" to keep them 300s so the grout lines up. The other walls (White gloss porcelain) will be 600s.
