From what i have seen concreters over there used black plastic over there pads, footings, and always use reo mesh in house slabs. Im in wa and they must have different concrete and and pads here as ive never seen any mesh in slabs here that is where im working in the building game You want piece of mind do it your way and 100 mm slab is standard sorry 10cm☺ Thanks travelIn, that is my confusion, should I or should I not put a black plastic (in Italy we definitely use tar paper) to cover sand and pour concrete on top or should I just pour concrete un top of compressed sand? A mate of mine told me that WA has mainly sand (not soil) and for this reason you don't need any tar paper/back plastic to stop humidity to come up from the ground (being sand, water just goes down). For the mesh, I do not think it will harm to put it in any additional thoughts? Many thanks!
