I love the look of a normally tiled enclosure with fairly large tiles (and clear frameless glass screen), and then with say, a vertical line going down with different small tiles. Does anyone have this? Did anyone do it into an existing tiled shower enclosure? How much did it cost and how much trouble was it to remove some of the larger tiles to accommodate the smaller ones? How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: Feature tiles in shower enclosure? 2Jul 20, 2008 10:09 am I replaced the tiles in my shower at the last house - dont know cost as it was a shower leak, and an insurance job.
If you want to have a look at some pics, go onto the PD website and have a look at the style finder, each different style usually has a pic of the bathroom. I posted a pic the other day of the tiles in my shower, will find the thread Have a look at this http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=8091&highlight= Paula Re: Feature tiles in shower enclosure? 3Jul 20, 2008 12:57 pm We did this, however it looks from what others are saying in the other thread is getting pretty old hat these days. We used the same theme for the bathroom and powder rooms also.

No such thing as old hat! Your style is your own and will always be in! Do you love it? Yes! That makes it stylish! I'm disappointed that you saying this about your lovely home. Hey I'm having a red and black bathroom. Listen to me, I'm obviously a guru! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. As we all know fashions and colours tend to cycle, some of them make it somewhat easier to guess the age of a house, although not 100%. I went through a new display village the other day and nearly every house has timber floors, at least now they’re using their brains and fitting the skirtings after laying the floors. It looks as though tiles are being relegated to the wet areas for the current fashion trend. Re: Feature tiles in shower enclosure? 7Jul 20, 2008 4:06 pm I like the way your tiles look too, as Jo said you picked it because you liked it, and that is all that matters.
I agree with Paula though, things always come in and out of trend, I think you have picked timeless colours throughout your home, so I think your very safe My karma ran over your dogma Re: Feature tiles in shower enclosure? 8Jul 20, 2008 4:11 pm kiwi056 Gee Joles I haven’t had an offer like that for ages…tis got me all worked up now (J/K) As we all know fashions and colours tend to cycle, some of them make it somewhat easier to guess the age of a house, although not 100%. So Kiwi, I'm already out of fashion and I haven't even built yet. But according to forecasts, I could be back in fashion by this time next year. Who can keep up? And for that matter, who wants to? Joles, tiles are very durable and less worries with being damaged. Thanks Paula & Bel. Even after over two years we’re still very happy with our selections. Re: Feature tiles in shower enclosure? 10Jul 21, 2008 4:20 pm They're really nice, those pics, thanks.
I was actually in Andersens Flooring the other day, and they do tiles, and a certain design they had was of nice plain tiles with a sort of pebble feature up one side. I LOVED it. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! hmmm id assume youll get hit with the "natural product therefore variation in colour etc" excuse. How bad are we talking?
