Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 25, 2015 7:56 pm Hello I know this is largely down to personal opinion but my head is spinning owth my bathroom tiles and I'd love opinions I am thinking of putting a timber tile down in the bathroom floor- it would run into the shower also. The walls have white panelling half way up and I'm going to paint a sift grey above and do shaker cabinets. Has anyone sued timber tiles in the bathroom? Do you think they will look good? I liked the idea of softening the room. They will be coming off carpet as its for the upstaits bathrooms only I was going to insert a photo but I'm not sure how so if anyone ones I will pop on what I mean! Re: Timber tile opinions! 2Nov 25, 2015 8:05 pm I've seen them in the bathrooms they look pretty good, I've only got photos of what I did in my bedroom with timber tiles Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Timber tile opinions! 4Nov 25, 2015 8:35 pm I got them from Italia Ceramics they look like real timber in person Re: Timber tile opinions! 5Nov 26, 2015 8:44 am Hi Sarah Here is a copy of what I posted for someone else the other day....hope it helps. We do use them in bathrooms as well. Just note however if you are using on the floor remember you need to incorporate linear drains to get the fall. We have been importing them for 18yrs now. One word of advice....and it does relate to price. Make sure it is as realistic as possible...you need a tile that looks like wood not a tile with a wood print if that makes sense. The key is the detail and authenticity..you wont people to believe it the real thing. Look for a very clear detailed print and a high frame rate...at least 25-30. A frame is the individual and unique print on each tile...if the eye sees to identical prints a few tiles apart it looses the look all together. Hope it helps Attached some pictures of projects we have done hope it inspires... They do look good. I guess my only concern is really if they work in a bathroom. I've seen photos and they look good but ice not actually seen them myself at any houses. So I feel like I'm taking a risk and concerned that if we so ever sell out home people may be put off. But I think we are going to go for it anyway!
