Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Oct 04, 2015 4:47 pm Hi guys, I've been tossing up different layout ideas for a few days now and have finally picked one which we feel makes the best use out of the space. Here's the original layout which we found to be too small for both rooms Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and here is the new layout..we decided to put the toilet into the bathroom since the original design didn't incorporate a basin and there is no room for one + I (DH) really wanted a double shower Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Feel free to give you opinion on the plan as I don't want to have missed anything Thanks in advance Re: Opinions on bathroom and ensuite layout wanted 2Oct 06, 2015 12:07 pm I personally prefer the original layout. I'm not a fan of having the toilet in the main bathroom. [sneakersss] Re: Opinions on bathroom and ensuite layout wanted 3Oct 06, 2015 4:10 pm I'm not sure about the bathroom door position being so close to the vanity, there's not much room to get out of the way of the door swing if you are standing at the basin. It's not impossible but not ideal. Also the clearance in the ensuite between the shower and the linen might feel a bit tight. Have you tried putting the ensuite shower where the tiolet is (along the bathroom wall)? That would give you about a 1500 shower, then move the toilet inside the door where the shower was. I'm guessing you don't want the toilet just inside the door, but that would give you a more spacious layout. You would need to extend the linen a smidge if you want the shower 900 wide. It gives you more clearance and a nicer visual walking into the bathroom. We will walk into the shower on our new bathroom but it was a compromise. Re: Opinions on bathroom and ensuite layout wanted 6Oct 09, 2015 11:32 am Thanks guys for all your feedback I've taken it all on board and had a play around with the layout again... I think this one looks much better with less wasted space. The main bathroom closely resembles the original layout, just with a larger shower and toilet included. I haven't included the window placements on that layout but there will be one in the main bathroom at the head/end of the bath, and the ensuite will have a window above the toilet for now, although we're considering a horizontal window that's as wide as the vanity. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6140 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11835 Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 8418 |
