Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Sep 10, 2015 8:54 am need some advise on the ensuite layout.. B is the original, but it doesnt seems right to me, not sure A is possible due to the length (4m) being shared with the WIR. I can definitely extend the width to 2.5 if needed, so the bedroom will be only 3.5m x 4m. What do you guys think ?? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks... Re: Comment on ensuite layout 4Sep 10, 2015 9:54 pm I can't see the room there for the design in A. You'd want at least 900mm for passageways each side of the basin. That layout gives privacy, but it also has a lot of passage space, and so you need a big area to have comfortable spaces left. How about this idea? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It' gives you considerably more storage in the robe, and the toilet is a bit obscured from the main area. I'd also look at widening it up to maybe 2.4m, leaving you 3.6 in the bedroom. That could give you around a 1200mm wide shower and more storage again in the robe. I'd also only have a single vanity in a bathroom that size, in favour of having some benchtop. Re: Comment on ensuite layout 6Sep 11, 2015 12:04 pm I love the 'T' style of option A, but oneJohn is right about the passageways. I have measured several and the min you need is 700 (I'm average size and I can only just fit through that width without having to turn side-on). 800mm is comfortable. If you put the shower where the basin is in option B, you could have space for a bigger basin if you want a double. Perhaps have a nib wall for toilet privacy. 1200mm is really the smallest I would go for a double basin. Good luck! The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6142 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11836 |
