Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 25, 2015 1:41 pm If you had the opportunity to redesign your laundry, would you put your dryer under the bench beside the WM or above it on the wall? We are considering moving the dryer provision to the floor and extending the overheads to fill the gap, but not sure if I'll regret it?? And I don't fancy the walk from the laundry to the garage with the amount of washing we do!! The laundry has a sliding door with screen door, so will be opened when the dryer is in use. No ventilation issues. It just looks neater. It will make your room more beautiful as it will look less obvious. You can also use the bench for other purposes. Re: Dryer wall mounted or under bench? 6Sep 04, 2015 11:28 am If you use the dryer a lot you should consider one of those "super expensive ones" either a condenser dryer or heat pump dryer as they are more efficient and as another poster said they don't pump moist hot air out into your laundry. We currently have our dryer stacked ontop of our washer and if I am honest its not the best idea as the WM shakes quite a bit. This is not my house but if it were I would mount in separate enclosures one above the other to save space. In the house I am building I will have them side by side under the bench. One thing I did not really think about was having them lifted 400mm off the ground to make it easier on one's back. Good thing we are both short I guess. Anyway space was not a concern so we wanted the bench to fold clothes etc (not really sure what gets done in the laundry, my clothes go from dirty to clean and ironed by magic as far as I know Hello everyone, I have a question regarding moving a chandelier after it has been mounted. The chandelier in question is quite large, measuring 4 meters… 0 68127 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 11045 Yeah my reasoning is just that those house posts are designed for vertical load not lateral. I just didnt want to risk interfering with the existing house… 4 9994 |
