Both are working Re: Heated Towel Rail 3Aug 25, 2015 8:52 pm We put a heated towel rail in our bathroom Reno about 4 years ago and really, we barely use it. Unless we remember to turn it in a fair while before we have a shower/bath it is a little pointless. It is good for drying your towels in terrible weather though! We are about to build an additional 2 bathrooms on an extension in our home and have decided to go with plain towel rails in both this time - even though the price isn't a great difference. We just haven't used the one we already have enough. Let us know what you decide! My build - viewforum.php?f=53 Re: Heated Towel Rail 4Aug 28, 2015 4:36 pm We had heated towel rails in our last two houses. We had them on a timer so that they can on in the early morning & off after our normal shower time. Towels were always warm & dry. Not sure about brands though. We will be putting them in the new build too. He says he has never regretted installing a heated towel rail in his bathrooms. He says the towels are always nice and warm and it helps to dry the wet towels especially during winter. Re: Heated Towel Rail 6Sep 07, 2015 6:05 pm Love our heated towel rails, nothing like dry towels in winter and summer. The first one we bought for a holiday house was not cheap, but it was not stainless steel and after a couple if years started corroding. When we renovated our bathroom at home , we put a heated towel rail in but it is a stainless steel, more expensive but well worth it. We leave ours on all the time so there is no problem with it having to heat up, they use minimal power and don't seem to make the room any hotter. Wouldn't be without one. Re: Heated Towel Rail 7Apr 19, 2016 1:21 pm Hi all, My husband and I will be starting build on our new house soon, are heated towel rails something we can install AFTER the builder hands over keys? They just charge too much so I want to get it done elsewhere, just not sure if it's possible? You will need to tell them the exact location. Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Heated Towel Rail 9Apr 20, 2016 10:02 am Orpheus Welcome Salt! Keep in mind where it will be mounted. if its on a tiled wall you will need to drill into the tiles without cracking it. I imagine drilling through tiles without breaking the is unlikely! we are getting floor to ceiling tiles in the bathrooms :/ Re: Heated Towel Rail 12Jun 24, 2016 6:42 am Saltwater71 Hi all, My husband and I will be starting build on our new house soon, are heated towel rails something we can install AFTER the builder hands over keys?
