We have one bathroom and it's very old. I think it's the original one from when it was built in the 1980's. It's falling apart so needs to be re-done. We are in a very tight financial position so I thought I'd ask here if anyone has any tips where we could source things from at a cheaper price maybe. We need a new shower (standard square size), shower head, vanity + sink, mirror, bathtub, towel rail. My husband has a friend who is a tiler so he will be able to do the tiling at a good price for us. It's not a very big bathroom. Very small really. Just manages to fit those things in. So any tips would be great. We are not looking for top of the line thing. Just things which are decent enough. We intend to sell in the next year or two as the house is getting too small for our kids and us (one bathroom and 6 ppl = not fun).

Showerhead and rail..bunnings/Masters.
Mirror, highgroves is cheap.
Vanity, sink, bath, shower screen, check ebay for one off specials.
I picked up this from eBay, not bad for $103 http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/171883775344?e ... mwBanner=1
It's for a temp bathroom for a house that will be knocked down in a couple of years.

If u like something fancy for taps and shower try http://www.meir.com.au. They are good priced and free delivery.
They may be 'good priced' but seems to be far beyond the budget of someone in a tight financial position.
Anyway, it seems that a high percentage of your post is spam like recommending this brand, do you have any affiliation with this brand?
I have nothing against this brand, but it doesn't seem that cheap but they don't specify where the products are made, which leads me to believe it's most likely China. For the price they are charging, I'd like to see a made in Australia or Germany sticker.

Not sure which state you are in. We recently fitted out two bathrooms and we did not want to spend a fortune on them. We used Renovation Kingdom- http://www.renovationkingdom.com.au.
They have Aussie made and chinese made brands. They held items for us until we were ready and only required a deposit. They regularly have sales also.
Good luck with the reno.

I got a few things from Tradelink - from memory they price match. They have a good range of mid-end stuff.
Bunnings has some decent things (eg we got our Methven shower head there) and they price match.
Reece was nice for ideas but really expensive and rarely do much in the way of sales.

We are sourcing all our tapware for our new house from Ebay. I've only looked at things that meet with the Australian standard and comes from Australia. We are building 'on the cheap' and our house only came with a pc sum of $2200 for all plumbing fittings. We are getting the big items (bath, toilets etc) from the building companies supplier and have even managed to upgrade those and still save over $500 by buying towel rails, toilet roll holders and taps from Ebay. As an example supplier wanted $89 for towel rails, I got ones I like better for $30, the laundry tap I wanted from the bathroom shop was $129, ebay $60.

It seems like your bathroom is pretty small. BCA states that you should have both sink and laundry tub, It would make difficult to organise space. If your washing machine…
