Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Aug 20, 2015 1:40 pm I guess it's a personal preference thing, but to settle an arguement and at a styling point of view would having the same or similar colour tiles "theme" throughout these rooms a must? Thank you Re: Matching tiles throughout Bathroom, laundry, kitchen 2Aug 20, 2015 1:49 pm I think it depends on a few things; how big is your house, are you able to see two of these rooms at the same time? I definitely don't think the tiles all need to be the same, but I would try and carry a similar feature from one room to another. That could be size, colour, style etc. It's all personal My Owner/Builder weatherboard house thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=77475 Re: Matching tiles throughout Bathroom, laundry, kitchen 3Aug 20, 2015 6:32 pm It's a relatively small house, old ex department of housing so it needed a bit of work to get up to scratch. So far I've had the cypress pine floor boards sanded and polished, and painted the interior. However, if you want to explore your possibilities, there are now many ways to combine tiles with different designs and colours to create something truly special. Have fun! Having a mosaic in the main bathroom only. I think for a small home consistency is good, but in a larger house.. go crazy! Re: Matching tiles throughout Bathroom, laundry, kitchen 10Sep 01, 2015 9:32 am No, it is not necessary for you to have similar colour tiles or themes throughout these rooms. In fact, your home will be more attractive if they are done with different tiles. This is because it will help you to separate the different rooms from one another.
