We are having custom vanities. Its been suggested that due to the width of our ensuite and main (2100) we are best with semi-recessed ('forward bowl') or counter top bowls.
What would you choose and why.

I personally feel that when you use the counter top bowls a lot, water will start to collect around the sides of bowls. So you will probably end up with mouldy bathroom vanity tops if you don’t wipe them frequently. Tops are stone but I can see the impracticality of counter top though they look nice. Having trouble picturing nice forward bowls. Re: Basins 6Dec 10, 2015 4:32 pm There are above counter bowls that still stick out from the vanity a bit. If the base is smaller than the top of the basin, it'll let you have a bit of overhang. I personally think semi recessed basins are a bit old fashioned in looks (sorry), the above counter ones really being in fashion at the moment. You've just got to watch any of the renovation shows to see that. They're also usually small enough that if you find one you like online, you can get it freighted to you for not too much. |
