(both door on the right is from/to garage.. - do you guys think the door between the 2 area redundant?? - should i change the laundry door to open the other way, as in the door will be facing the wall instead of the trough when open... Re: Laundry plan comment 2Aug 09, 2015 8:37 am I think it is unnecessary, but it doesn't seem like you could put anything more useful there, so i don't think it matters. It probably just makes the room feel smaller than it needs to. Yes change the door- you won't be able to use the sink unless the door is closed behind you. Re: Laundry plan comment 3Aug 09, 2015 2:36 pm If you remove the door, you will be able to see into the laundry when going down the passage. You could put a sliding cavity door at the passage end though. That would create a thermal air lock between the garage and house to prevent losing heat in winter. Then take the door to the laundry out as it would be redundant. Re: Laundry plan comment 4Aug 09, 2015 4:22 pm thanks for your comment as well.. guess i will remove the door (between laundry and linen) and change to sliding cavity door at the passage.. and also mayb a sliding cavity door between the linen and garage.. Re: Laundry plan comment 5Aug 09, 2015 9:15 pm I certainly think there is room for improvement: as suggested I agree eliminate middle door and wall, move hinge to other side for outdoor to laundry door, put door or concealed door between 'pass' and assume I hallway. I can't say with certainty (as not all measurements are there) or spending time on it, but there maybe scope to slightly reduce the depth of the linen cupboards and put more cupboards/shelves on the other side as 1000mm plus passage is more than necessary. Or maybe hanging space for towels if you have a pool. It maybe that you don't need extra storage, sometimes there is never enough! Re: Laundry plan comment 6Aug 11, 2015 10:39 am thanks for all your kind comments.. will amend the laundry plan according.. - sliding door facing the passage & garage - remove the in-between door - change the orientation of the outside door dont think i can put another linen cupboard on the other side.. as the door opening to the garage.. unless i remove the door.. but i prefer the door to the linen rather than the passage... Re: Laundry plan comment 8Aug 11, 2015 10:29 pm This is a very tight fit, I'm not sure if you'll be able to achieve what you've described. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11252 Agreed. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4091 Hey all, Hoping for some inspiration for my bathroom laundry combo. The tiles are in good condition, as is the bathtub. I’ve given it a coat of white paint and added… 0 14120 |
