If you are renovating anyway, is there any way you can get that bigger, at least in one dimension? Showerline makes some 900 x 760 bases in their 'lowline' series. If you must go smaller, I'd still try to eke out every mm possible. I'd be reluctant to tile in a very small shower because of the challenge to get a good fall. Suggest you look at UltraLow Custom shower basis; they carve them out of a sheet of Corian, which should mean the fall can be engineered in. Also, I love the idea of smooth yet non-slip, warm corian underfoot in a shower!
