Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jul 13, 2015 12:38 pm just after some quick advice. Can any of you tell me what's the difference when it comes to bathroom hobs? My builder are charging me around $400 to mitre tiles in these areas but is it nessisary, I can't help but think this is just another silly thing they make money off you for.. Photos would be a bonus please as I don't know what the difference is? Have any of you opted not to have mitred? Thanks! Is it really a big deal to have done? Is it just the hob they do this for as I can't imagine not having all other tiles areas not being mitred? The hob it just the bit you step over into shower right? Thanks Re: Mitred or not mitred that is the question.. 8Jul 15, 2015 9:57 pm Definitely go for mitred if you have the money, IMO worth every cent - we have it in our new house, and had it in the old, no issues with chipping and I have two rowdy kids.
