Since starting on the build process, I had my heart set on the Caroma blanc freestanding bath for our ensuite - http://www.caroma.com.au/bathrooms/bath ... nding-bath
However, our sales person has advised that as that bath does not have an overflow, they have had to add in additional plumbing protections and we could reduce the cost by choosing a bath with an overflow.
The only one I have found is the Reece Roca Virginia - http://www.reece.com.au/bathrooms/produ ... th-9505096
The blanc has a capacity of 260L vs the Roca's 192L.
The blanc has a lower height from internal bottom of the bath to top of 490mm whereas the Roca has the same height on both edges of 420mm.
I don't mind the look of the Roca, but I am worried that I will really notice the difference in depth. I can't get in to see either of these baths in person to 'try them out' before selections, although I have seen the blanc before.
It works out to be about a 7cm difference in depth. Would that be really noticeable or not?
It may save us around a $1000 which would be handy as our footings have blown out a bit.
