Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Apr 13, 2015 8:05 am Hi all, can anyone provide some advice on whether we've been had with the price for our shower upgrades? Removing the door from our ensuite shower, which is bricked in and now has no glass whatsoever, cost us $2k. This was for extra waterproofing, extra 50mm recess in the slab and...?? We are already paying separately for channel drains so no idea where that cost is coming from. Meanwhile in the main bathroom, we have two frameless panels and no door on the shower which cost us $4k. Same waterproofing, same channel drain, same slab recessing. Both are double showers 1800x900 in size. Is this reasonable or has the builder pulled a fast one on us as first time builders? If anyone has any advice to share, that would be great! Quick google and there is some info on that here: http://www.wishlisthomes.com.au/home-building-contracts-general-advice/ It is better to negotiate changes before you sign a contract.
