Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Feb 27, 2015 9:06 pm I've used some of the offcuts from our Scyon Axon cladding as backsplash in kitchen and laundry areas and we love it so much I've decided to do same in our new bathroom. Problem is it works out to be about $50psm and the plan was to save money. The walls tiles I've purchased are only $20psm. I've purchased enough to do the shower area only and with the layout of this bathroom it could end up really expensive having to cover the area required. I need to cover to 1900h to suit the style of our house (and the two other bathrooms). So the idea of sheeting was attractive until I realised the price difference. Has anybody done anything similar in the bathroom? Trying to see if I can find a low cost alternative to tiling but currently it looks to be the cheapest option. I had thought that bead board panels and the whole recycled timber look was a thing now but I can't find materials that would suit a bathroom and also meet the budget requirements. Any other ideas for me? People make one happy, not houses? I do not think so. Houses are more to be trusted than people.
