Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 81Jun 28, 2008 8:12 pm I'm sure I have seen that combination at a display home and it looked really nice. It was more cream/yellow tones if I have got it right. Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 82Jun 28, 2008 8:17 pm Wow, gorgeous bathroom mudtrilogy
I really like that floor tile - it's a beautiful colour - I think that's a good choice Bel. Dana -------------------------- Building with DFH - carpet installed! Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 84Jun 28, 2008 8:39 pm Thanks Dana, I agree it is a gorgeus colour, and it looks great in Mudtrilogys bathroom, but her selections are alot darker than mine
I keep going back to the Urban Cloud, I THOUGHT I was done , I'm sure it will all come to me at the Tile appointment... Does anyone have photos of the Urban Cloud laid? On another note, do the people at Hopetoun have the names of the tiles used in the PD displays like they do the paint colours etc? I might ask them as there is a few tiles I like in their displays which I was unsure of the colour... My karma ran over your dogma Re: Which Tile? Yes They also have photo albums full of PD displays (just to confuse you a bit further ) Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 86Jun 29, 2008 8:00 am mudtrilogy Oh and the towel rack - is hopeless - can't even hang a normal size towel as it just looks odd!! It was part of the package with the house but now serves as decoration... I have a towel rail hidden behind door. We have a towel rack in the kids room that is that width but longer - stupid I have to fold the towels to fit them on and then they sit on top of each other - the only good thing is it is heated or esle they wouldnt dry. You could put hand towels on it just for show, so it doesnt look bare? Paula Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 87Jun 29, 2008 8:33 am Even hand towels look strange and don't hang right. I think in time it will go.... but at the moment there are so many other priorities.
This is the pic of a display home we visited that we copied our design from. I could be wrong but I think it was urban cloud and linea. But its not a great pic - its a bit dark Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 88Jun 29, 2008 8:38 am I found another pic - this is a better colour one. By the way the mosaics are not the same colour as ours they are a colour called raw silk. (more yellow/green based)
Hope these help Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 90Jun 29, 2008 10:19 am Thanks for the pics again Mudtrilogy, those are really nice bathrooms, I love the double feature tile that goes right across - very nice.
If they are urban cloud then I think i will be happy to stick with the urban earth as they look a little yellowy for my liking. I had the samples of urban earth and urban cloud out again yesterday, and you are all right, the urban earth is much nicer My karma ran over your dogma Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 91Jun 29, 2008 10:38 am Rel - I missed your post before! Thanks for that info, as much as it will confuse me I am actually looking forward to seeing the display colour lists etc, I actually think it will help with my decision seeing it all on a large scale My karma ran over your dogma Re: Which Tile? (With pics) 92Jun 29, 2008 11:02 am I'm pretty sure that its urban cloud. I remember when we had colours that I changed our mosaic colour as the raw silk didn't match the urban earth and didn't go in with the brownish tones of our place. The other laminex that we almost went with was amari oak. But when we went to a display and held up the tile against amari oak they were almost the same colour and I wanted some contrast.
Anyway - once the decision is made don't torture yourself. I hate my kitchen but for now there is nothing I can do about it. Yet hubby was really worried about the bathrooms and they turned out great. Its all a learning experience Re: Which Tile? You did a great job selecting your colours and I think it looks just as good if not nicer than the display bathroom. Hmmmmmm, we have chosen Urban Cloud for the kids bathroom and toilet. cabinet will be Amari Oak, shower/bath hob tile is the standard white rectangle 100x300 and the feature tile is a pebble. We decided to go lighter for the cabinet (instead of Nocturne Oak) as the kids bathroom is actually quite small. Mudtrilogy, what colour is your kitchen? What don't you like about it?
