Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Jun 18, 2008 10:01 pm We are currently building, and have opted to have a corner spa in our main ensuite. The house we're building has 5 ensuites and a powder room, and not 1 bath, which I found a bit strange!!!! Our 2 younger kids (and their mum ) still like a bath, so we went for the corner spa in the main ensuite option. You don't really have a choice, that's what fits the space, and is offered...if I had my choice I would be having the freestanding eggshell bath from Rogersellers - but, I digress...and let's not go there!!! We've done our tile selection, and I love my tile. We're having it on the floor, shower floor, spa hob and spa splashback,so I'm thinking I will just go and buy a feature tile that I like (I've already found it), to break it up a bit, and when the tiler is there, ask him to put it.....not sure where - hence this post. Does anyone have any pictures of corner spas??? I don't know whether to run it one tile down along the edge of the spa, or along the top, or middle of the spa splashback? Any thoughts???? Or photos? I'd do a couple of rows along the top of the spa ... say three or five rows of a contrasting mosaic tile (either along the top of the spa or 3/4 from the bottom). And match it with three rows above the benchtop, so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. IMHO . We decided to forgo the feature tile as you really need to repeat it so that you have some symmetry. Re: Bath Tiling 8Jun 19, 2008 9:50 am Thanks Dy, the feature tile I found is a glass mosaic, and what you've suggested is what I thought I would probably do, but I was hoping to find some photos, and didn't get anything when I searched on Google Plus, we have a contrasting tile on the 2 shower walls, and a feature travertine tile on splashback, and behind the toilet (concealed cistern), which sounds like a LOT when I type it, so I don't want it too busy!!! I was also thinking just a row of 3 mosaics around the bath hob only......oh, I don't know!!! Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
