I have done this before but just wondering if there is a better way. Thought about using a jack hammer but that seams a bit drastic. And yes a Jack Hammer is a bit drastic! Imagine the damage you could do to the sub flooring. I don’t think there is a way to lift the concrete off the floor than the obvious. Hard work. Dabbler, many years ago I gave a mate a hand to remove tiles in a pool. We got a length of steel pipe around 5 foot long (that's how long ago it was) & welded a 6inch bolster to the end. Worked a charm once you got a start under the tiles. Possibly take less effort with a small Kanga though. Good luck & watch the eyes!
