Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry 1 Nov 12, 2014 7:12 pm I'm planning a drop-in bath with tiled ledge around it, but I'm not sure how wide the ledge should be. Is there a standard width or a minimum or maximum? I want it wide enough to place things like shampoo bottle, candle, glass of wine etc, but I'm aware that the wider I make it, the more awkward it is to get in. I'm thinking 10cm on all sides. Any advice please? Re: Drop-in bath surround 2Nov 14, 2014 9:26 am We had the same thing in our previous house but with the tiled area on top it was a nightmare to keep clean especially with kids. We had an area of about 200 at the ends and window side but only about 100 at the front side. Because the water just lays on the tiles and no where to go it just makes the grout discolour very quickly. I ended up getting some stone strips the same as the vanity and installed them over the tile hob so that the top surface was all smooth and easy to clean and use. Looking for some advice on pool surround planting. We have roughly 500mm wide garden bed around the edge of our pool. Depth of the bed is only around 250-300mm to top… 0 3838 Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build.
